The club promotes activities for all ages and stages of life, and Kathryn L. The Glen Ellyn Newcomers Club Encourages Connection

Connecting new residents of Glen Ellyn to long-time residents of the area is the goal of the Newcomers Club. To make things fun, the club encourages many ways to get together with other residents and many activities for residents to be involved in a variety of interests.

Booklovers can join in spirited discussions about the latest bestseller or a classic novel with the Bookworm group. The Cooking Club not only cooks great food but serves as an education resource for current food-related issues like food allergies and family nutrition. The Cooking club also encouraging sharing of recipes and teaches new cooking skills.

Newcomers Club members can enjoy a fun night out of socializing on Ladies' Night Out or on Couple's Night to enjoy some local food and drink. Or, have a stay-in night with others with a game night of Euchre or Bunko. Activity and sports are also encouraged with groups that play men's basketball and all skills tennis for ladies. Sport watching is also encouraged with Men's Catch the Game groups that gather at local bars to catch the game.

Moms will get some help with Moms and Tots on the Road, which sponsors kid-friendly outings and parties around town and playgroups, so both moms and kids can make new friends.
