Q: Where in Illinois do the attorneys practice?

A: We are licensed to practice law in all counties in the State of Illinois, and handle cases primarily in Cook, DuPage, Will, Lake, and Kane counties.

Q: I am looking for an aggressive attorney to fight for my rights; can McPherson Harry & Associates, P.C. do that?

A: All of our attorneys are experienced lawyers who are able to analyze your case or claim and advise you how best to proceed to protect your interests. The attorneys can both skillfully negotiate settlements and resolve issues through hearing and litigation while protecting your rights.

Q: I have had difficulty reaching my previous attorney by phone. He never returns my calls. How accessible are your attorneys?

A: All of our attorneys are readily accessible by phone and e-mail.  Messages and emails received are promptly returned, usually within 24 business hours.

Q: Will I be dealing with the attorneys directly or will I be dealing with their paralegals or secretaries?

A: Our attorneys work directly with you, personally handling your file from beginning to end. Administrative staff is there to assist the attorney, keep your costs down, and are NEVER used in place of a licensed attorney.

Q: How does the attorney charge for his/her services?

A: Depending on the type of matter, you may be charge by the hour for time spent on your file or you may be charged one flat rate to perform certain legal services for you.  You will always be told in advance of how the fees will be charged and at what rate.

Q: Is there a charge for my first meeting with the attorney?

A: No, the initial consultation is free.

Q: What happens during the initial consultation?

A: You will meet with your team which consists of attorneys and paralegals.  You may ask questions and obtain some general information about the area of the law in which you are interested. If you decide, to retain our law office, you will establish a fee arrangement, pay a retainer and develop a plan of action.
